We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Technical Business Analyst - User Interface Experience.
In this role, you will:
- The Business Insights (Markets and Securities Services Business Insights) function provides a comprehensive suite of management information to key stakeholders across Operations, Front Office and regulators at Markets and Securities Services Operations sites. The function adds value through insightful analysis, effective data visualisation and a forward-looking insights and data strategy. Assistant Vice President Business Insights will lead the delivery of the Business Insights book of work, working collaboratively with the wider team and relevant stakeholders. The role will be accountable for driving priorities forward, translating business requirements into high-quality Artificial Intelligence - enabled reports and intuitive visualizations, and ensuring that reporting delivers clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
- The role will combine strong business insight, Artificial Intelligence awareness, visualisation and User Experience design skills to develop reporting solutions that are accurate, accessible and aligned to stakeholder needs. The role will also support the continued development of the Manual Process Register, a central inventory of Operations processes and controls that informs process retirement, digital transformation, re-engineering and investment prioritisation. Identify, assess and prioritize opportunities to transform reporting through Artificial Intelligence, automation, analytics and improved user experience. Develop reporting solutions that combine reliable data, meaningful analytics and clear visual storytelling.
- Apply User Experience design principles to determine how data should be structured, presented and navigated for different audiences. Tailor visualisations and reporting experiences to the needs of Operations, Front Office, regulators, asset-class stakeholders and senior management. Work with Technology, Data and Operations teams to design, test and implement Artificial Intelligence -enabled reporting solutions. Translate business requirements into clear, intuitive and visually engaging Artificial Intelligence -enabled reports and management information. Validate Artificial Intelligence -generated analysis and ensure appropriate human review, data-quality controls and governance are applied. Prepare and deliver demonstrations of new Artificial Intelligence, analytics and reporting solutions to senior leaders. Gather feedback from senior stakeholders and incorporate it into the design and delivery of solutions.
- Track adoption, user experience, efficiency gains and other benefits following implementation. Delivery of the agreed Business Insights & Analytics book of work. A prioritised pipeline and roadmap of Artificial Intelligence reporting opportunities. Accuracy, completeness and integrity of data and analytics. Positive feedback from senior leaders and key stakeholders on the quality, usability and relevance of reporting. Tangible and quantified efficiency gains through Artificial Intelligence and automation. Improved user adoption and satisfaction. Engage confidently with senior leaders to understand their priorities and demonstrate new reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Present complex analytical and Artificial Intelligence -enabled solutions clearly, focusing on the business outcomes and decisions. Build strong relationships with Markets and Securities Services Operations, Front Office, Global Business Insights Management, asset-class management teams and Technology. Facilitate user feedback and co-design sessions to ensure solutions meet audience needs. Adapt communication and visual presentation styles for technical, operational and executive audiences. User adoption and satisfaction with reporting solutions. Maintain strong data, reporting and change controls across the Business Insights book of work. Engage with Line Operations staff and escalate issues promptly and appropriately. Remain fully aware of the control framework and take a proactive approach to reducing operational risk.
- Assess the risks associated with Artificial Intelligence -generated insights, data quality, model outputs, access, interpretation and use. Ensure appropriate validation, documentation and governance are applied to Artificial Intelligence -enabled reports and visualizations. Maintain awareness of Functional Instruction Manual requirements and the operational risks associated with the role. Ensure reporting solutions are subject to appropriate testing, review and approval before release. Key Management Information, procedures and controls in place to manage operational risk. No high risk or repeat errors and audit points attributable to the team. Documented testing and approval for key reporting and Artificial Intelligence -enabled solutions. Timely escalation and resolution of control issues.
- Build confidence in new Artificial Intelligence and analytics solutions through clear demonstrations, practical examples and transparent discussion of limitations. Encourage diverse perspectives when shaping reporting experiences and interpreting business needs. Coach colleagues on analytics, visualisation, User Experience design and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in reporting. Evidence of effective teamwork, knowledge sharing and team development.
- Designing reporting experiences that work for different audiences, from operational users to senior leaders. Turning complex and high-volume data into clear visual narratives without losing important context or control information. Identifying Artificial Intelligence opportunities that deliver genuine business value and are suitable for controlled implementation. Managing iterative feedback from senior leaders while maintaining delivery momentum and agreed reporting deadlines.
To be successful, you will:
- Bachelors / Master’s degree preferred computer application / analytics. Minimum 7+ years of experience in User Interface / User Experience design and visual storytelling.
- Experience in Markets or Securities Services. Strong experience in analytics, management information and reporting transformation. Experience leading or coordinating a delivery book of work, with clear accountability for progressing initiatives. Understanding of Artificial Intelligence -enabled reporting and automation opportunities.
- Strong visualisation and User Experience design capability, with the ability to tailor solutions to different audiences. A visual and user-centred mindset, with an ability to turn data into compelling stories that support decisions.
- Confidence presenting demonstrations and recommendations to senior leaders. Strong programme, stakeholder and change-management skills. Ability to lead delivery, manage dependencies and drive a book of work forward. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to challenge the status quo while maintaining appropriate controls and responsible Artificial Intelligence practices. Strong understanding of analytics, reporting transformation and management information.
- Practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence use cases in reporting, including automated insight generation, anomaly detection, summarisation, forecasting and workflow automation. Ability to apply User Experience and visualisation principles to tailor data presentations to different audiences.
- Ability to convert stakeholder needs into clear user journeys, report layouts and interactive visual experiences. Experience developing roadmaps, prioritisation frameworks and benefits measures for Artificial Intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Ability to explain analytical outputs and Artificial Intelligence -generated insights in a clear, balanced and commercially relevant way. Understanding data quality, human oversight, explainability, access controls and responsible Artificial Intelligence in a regulated environment.
