About this role

Standard Job Description

Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry. Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing/RF Engineering or related field with 3+ years of related professional experience; or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field with 1+ years of related professional experience
* Project management or leadership experience
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50+ days per year) at times to manufacturing and test facility in California is required
* Strong communication, organizational, planning, and time management skills
* Experience with a CAD software

* Experience with composite layups
* Experience with structural design and/or stress analysis
* Experience with different manufacturing methods including 3D printing
* Aircraft production support, processes, and coating experience
* Creative problem solving skills
* Experience with integrating materials, components, and/or technologies onto air vehicle platforms
* Experience with using CATIA or similar CAD software for part design, assembly, and drawing experience
* Experience with coatings, integration, application, standards, methods, and testing
* Experience with RF or LO range testing
* Experience with RF / LO materials and RF / LO material testing, measurements, and integration onto physical platforms
* Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
