Job Summary & Objectives
The Legal Talent Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Legal Talent Department in all aspects of the Department’s functions, including the associate review process, attorney onboarding, immigration processing, relocations and leave of absence administration.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination and administration of the semi-annual attorney review process; work with the Legal Talent team, partners and associates to ensure associate evaluation files are complete, ensuring accuracy of entered information and database functionality; maintain review-related reports
- Assist with the onboarding and orientation process for new attorneys, including facilitating new hire orientations for lateral hires and coordinating pre-arrival paperwork and logistics for first year associates
- Liaise with attorneys on the various leave of absence processes and coordinate with the Benefits and/or Workday Support Groups on facilitating proper leave administration.
- Coordinate the inter-office relocation process, including liaising with the relocating attorney, seeking necessary approvals and drafting relocation memorandums
- Provide support for the U.S. immigration process, including coordinating with immigration counsel on visa, work-authorizations and green card applications
- Assist with formalizing flexible work arrangements for attorneys, including seeking approvals, liaising with attorneys and drafting relevant memorandums
- Maintain tracking charts and compile statistical information to assist with various reporting requirements for the Legal Talent department, including attrition analyses, headcount updates and other reporting requests
- Coordinate with the Legal Talent and Workday Support Group teams on the continued advancement of Workday’s reporting and usage capabilities.
- Provide general support and assistance to the Legal Talent department on an ongoing basis; ensure consistent and appropriate information is shared between offices; stay current on firm news, including peer firm trends
- Must be flexible to adjust hours to meet departmental needs and attend occasional related evening events

Education
Required
- Bachelor's degree
Skills and Experience
Required
- 2 to 4 years of related experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact well and build professional relationships while maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to self-direct and adapt to changing working demands and multiple priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to make effective judgments in line with Firm policies, procedures and/or guidelines
- Must be team oriented
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (including knowledge of pivot tables) and PowerPoint, and comfortable working in web-based databases/software, such as viDesktop and Workday
Preferred
- Prior experience in a law firm or professional services firm
- Understanding of applicable laws and regulations for handling Associate personnel files and other sensitive and confidential information
- Understanding of various databases and/or programs and effective methods for acquiring relevant information
Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is non-exempt meaning it is overtime pay eligible.
