Job Description
The position of Material Handler is responsible for assisting the Material Handling team with material requisitions. This is a fast-paced position and requires the worker to retrieve and deliver products with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. The individual filling this role will work closely with peers and supervisors on a daily basis. Strong communication skills are essential, as well as basic computer knowledge. The Material Handler must be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships. Attendance and punctuality are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fulfill material requisitions, pull stock accurately, and support receiving operations.
- Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Log warehouse inventory movements using digital tools (computers and tablets).
- Work productively with peers and supervisors to maintain an organized, safe work floor.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Comfortable standing/walking throughout your shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Basic understanding of warehouse/receiving operations (1+ year of warehouse experience preferred).
- Familiarity operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts (or eager to operate them!).
- Ability to clearly read, write, and communicate in English, plus comfortable using basic computer/tablet functions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and top-notch punctuality.
Education
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
Hourly Range: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
