Summary
The Student Services Program Manager supports the success, well-being, engagement, and professional development of MCW-Central Wisconsin medical students. Under the direction of the Central Wisconsin Campus Administrator and in collaboration with campus and institutional leadership, this position develops, coordinates, and evaluates student services programs, academic support, student life activities, wellness initiatives, and student organizations to promote student success. The role also manages the Student Services budget, oversees day-to-day program operations, and partners with Student Affairs and campus stakeholders to advance student services goals and enhance the student experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop student activities, programming and advising services that will help students grow personally and professionally.
- Collaborate with Admissions and campus stakeholders to support student recruitment efforts through interview day programming, campus visits, prospective student engagement activities, and community outreach events.
- Oversee planning and implementation of MCW-Central Wisconsin New Student Orientation in collaboration with colleagues across all campuses.
- Partner with Academic Affairs and Academic Support & Enrichment to support student academic success through the coordination of academic support services, resources, and interventions for regional campus students.
- Support board examination preparation activities, including monitoring student exam registration, coordinating practice examinations, and communicating key timelines, requirements, and available resources.
- Develop and coordinate extracurricular programs and events that support career exploration, residency preparation, and professional development.
- Coordinate and support residency application activities by providing students with information, guidance, and resources related to ERAS, application timelines, and the residency selection process.
- Coordinate residency Match support activities, including the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP), in collaboration with Career Services, campus leadership, and institutional partners.
- Organize internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events.
- Coordinate the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.
- Assists with communications and social media for campus as it relates to student activities and events.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of program data.
- Develop and manage program budget.
- Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to the program.
- Ensure program data and progress are reported to program stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
- Excellent independent judgment, strong grasp and creative use of problem-solving techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work with other staff within a team framework; to be well-organized and detail-oriented; to communicate effectively with others in person and in writing.
- Knowledge of educational assessment and intervention strategies for adult learners, preferably with students in the biological sciences.
- Familiarity with medical school curriculum preferred, to develop and manage appropriate student services programming
- Demonstrated familiarity with a variety of standardized exams, test formats, test-taking strategies and tutoring programs.
- Experience planning and facilitating educational workshops, events, and activities for both large audiences and small group settings.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage effectively with community organizations, resources, and service providers.
Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Required Experience: 6 years
Preferred Education: Master's degree in education
Preferred Experience: Psychology or Counseling
Physical Requirements
Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
