We are seeking an experienced AVP, Infrastructure Capital join our corporate headquarters in Nashville. This position is responsible for leading the identification, prioritization, planning, and execution of infrastructure capital investments across the Company’s portfolio.
The role works closely with Engineering, Construction Management, Redevelopment, Asset Management, Leasing, and Finance to ensure capital investments support operational reliability, risk mitigation, tenant experience, satisfaction and retention, and long-term asset value. The AVP will help establish a proactive, data-driven approach to infrastructure capital planning through forecasting tools, condition assessments, project tracking, and portfolio-wide investment strategies.

Job Duties
- Lead the development and execution of the Company’s infrastructure capital planning program, including HVAC, roofing, elevators, generators, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, and other major building systems.
- Develop and maintain processes for proactively identifying, evaluating, forecasting, and prioritizing infrastructure capital needs across the portfolio.
- Establish and administer capital prioritization methodologies that consider building condition, risk of failure, operational impact, tenant experience and retention, asset strategy, and financial considerations.
- Partner with Engineering, Construction Management, Redevelopment, Asset Management, Leasing, and Finance to develop annual and multi-year capital plans.
- Partner with regional and local teams to implement consistent infrastructure assessment, planning, and project-delivery practices across the portfolio.
- Drive the collection, maintenance, and analysis of equipment, condition, project, and operating data to support capital planning and investment decisions.
- Develop portfolio-level infrastructure investment recommendations and capital allocation strategies based on risk, business priorities, and asset objectives.
- Evaluate opportunities for programmatic bulk purchasing, pre-purchasing, and preferred pricing agreements based on forecasted infrastructure needs, equipment standardization, lead times, and financial considerations.
- Lead the planning and execution of significant or technically complex infrastructure projects, including scope development, budgeting, business cases to support capital approval decisions, procurement, construction oversight, and project closeout.
- Monitor project performance and capital spending, communicating progress, risks, forecast variances, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Establish measures for infrastructure program performance, including project delivery, forecast accuracy, and progress against approved capital plans.
- Support and mentor engineering personnel by providing technical guidance, project support, and professional development.
- Assist in developing standards, policies, reporting tools, and technology solutions that improve infrastructure reliability, capital planning, and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, architecture, business, or a related field.
- Significant progressive experience in building engineering, infrastructure capital planning, facilities management, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of major building systems and demonstrated experience evaluating and managing significant infrastructure capital projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other construction or engineering documents.
- Strong strategic, analytical, financial, project-management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting a geographically distributed commercial real estate portfolio or complex occupied facilities is preferred.
- Professional Engineer licensure, Project Management Professional certification, facilities-management credentials, or relevant technical certifications are preferred.
