Nature and Scope
This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction while demonstrating professionalism and accountability. The instructor is responsible for demonstrating adequate knowledge of the programs being instructed, coordinating class times and locations, transporting and cleaning your equipment, evaluating student performance, and ensuring completion and uploading of required paperwork. Job activity involves moving freely without physical restraint throughout various training areas, able to stay in certain positions (sitting or kneeling on the floor) for extended periods of time. This is a per diem, non-benefit eligible position, scheduled for fewer than 30 hours per week.

Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold a valid Driver's License.
- Possess and maintain all certifications required to teach various lectures of the certified discipline.
- Follow standards when instructing a program set forth by the PA Department of Health, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, ITLS VFIS, etc.
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of the program materials they instruct.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Certification as PA DOH EMS, EMS Instructor (or ability to obtain within six months of hire date), and one year of experience is preferred.
