Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a  Strategic Customer Engagement Senior Manager to join the Strategic Customer Engagement (SCE) Team, supporting the sector’s planning, preparation, execution, analysis, and strategic actions associated with executive customer interactions.

This leader will serve as the chief of staff for the SCE Team, overseeing day-to-day operations across engagements with all Department of War (DoW) services, key industry primes, international customers, and other U.S. government agencies. The selected individual will be responsible for improving how the team leverages customer and contextual information to drive focused engagements that lead to actionable outcomes for the business.

This leader will be the SCE Team’s primary subject matter expert in the use of enterprise systems of record and digital tools for customer engagement, pipeline planning, and executive communication, in close partnership with enabling functional peers.

The Strategic Customer Engagement Senior Manager will spearhead the application of new methods and technology solutions to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of customer engagement operations. They will support the team in developing strategic recommendations and novel business approaches across the sector portfolio in response to the dynamic defense acquisition environment and will serve as the principal lead, as required, for customers and stakeholders not otherwise covered by existing team account leads. This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensure strategic customer engagements are planned, executed, and documented in alignment with sector priorities and governance.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in the use, configuration, and integration of Salesforce with other systems of record and digital tools.
- Lead the development, integration, and application of authoritative information resources, environments, and products that enable clear, consistent, and compelling customer engagements associated with NGMS products, capabilities, and business opportunities.
- Lead Strategic Customer Engagements with external customers and cross-sector NGC stakeholders as required.
- Partner with peer information, digital, communications, business development, strategic growth, and operations leaders to plan, develop, implement, and operate new processes, tools, and capabilities that accelerate SCE operations.
- Lead or support the analysis, synthesis, and recommendations in response to customer requests for information (RFIs), strategic communications, mission engineering activities, and business cases.
- Mentor and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality customer engagement products and outcomes.
- Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience in program management, business development, mission engineering, systems analysis, or strategic planning; or 8 years with a Master’s degree.
- Experience with Salesforce and with the application of generative artificial intelligence assistants in a business context.
- Knowledge of DoW customer organizations, requirements, programming, budgeting, and acquisition processes.
- Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, and strategic thinking with respect to customer needs, competitive positioning, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster collaborative and trusting relationships with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and technical experts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver executive-level presentations.
- Experience forming and leading cross-functional teams.
- U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Current TS/SCI clearance.
- Advanced degree in a business or technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify and qualify new program or campaign opportunities, and develop and implement creative approaches for integrating across opportunities to drive speed and scale.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
