Job Overview

The Quality Inspector I performs basic inspections of materials and products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications. This entry-level role supports production by identifying defects, maintaining accurate records, and promoting quality and safety standards.

A Day In The Life

Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections on incoming and in-process materials.

Verify product conformance to specifications and work instructions.

Document inspection results and report discrepancies to leads or supervisors.

Tag and identify accepted or rejected materials appropriately.

Assist with first-piece and in-process inspections.

Maintain accurate records and logs of inspection activities.

Support product testing as directed.

Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Communicate quality concerns to team members.

Participate in basic improvement activities.

Support production teams as needed.

Must be able to work overtime as required.

Ability to read basic work instructions and drawings.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic computer skills preferred.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 35–40 lbs. as needed.
