About this role

This position encompasses three roles; the Security Guard will protect people and property from possible criminal activity. Floor Care will clean common area flooring as needed: carpet, LVP, vinyl, tile etc. Call Center will answer after hour phone calls, respond to Fire, Life, Safety emergencies and after hour arrivals (Guest, deliveries etc.) as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities.

- Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds.

- Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency.

- After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure .

- Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property.

- Perform Floor Care duties including, but not exclusive to:

Follow established policies and procedures of the Floor Care Department.

Vacuuming of hallways and common areas.

Mopping of linoleum and vinyl flooring throughout the building

Extracting carpets in all buildings

- Use of various Floor Care machines including the following:

Extraction machines

Steam carpet machines

Encapsulating machines

Floor scrubbers and buffers

Vacuums and large area vacuums and more.

- Stripping and waxing floors as assigned.

- Answering after business hours incoming calls/ responding to resident emergency Call Lights and ushering in EMS as required.

- Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.

- Authoritative verbal communication skills.

- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Security guard training certification preferred.

- First Aid training preferred.

- Previous experience a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.

- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
