About this role

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Senior Producer, Social Media responsible for producing video, graphics, editing, ideating and written content for use on all social media channels.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Create original video and graphic content for all platforms that aligns with the network's brand.
- Monitor broadcasts and identify content for social platforms
- Collaborate with On-Air and Creative Services teams on the development of social-specific content
- Work with social and digital teams to develop and refine workflow and posting strategy
- Capture b-roll, interviews and other content at live sporting events, media days, and on set
- Mentor a team of social media producers
- May oversee some day-to-day operations of the social media producer team, including task delegation, scheduling, and workload management
- Coordinate social media content requests from Social Media Managers, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy and creative objectives
- Stay informed about emerging social media platforms, tools, and trends, exploring opportunities for expansion and experimentation.
- Travel approximately 20%

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- BA/BS degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience• Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
- Knowledge of social media networks

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

- Excellent copywriting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to film on an iPhone/DSLR and operate a lavalier microphone
- Knowledge of all social media networks specifically Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and X
- Understanding of social media analytics
- Ability to ideate, produce and deliver creative content (namely video, graphics) in a timely manner
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Prefer proficiency in Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator and AE as well.
