Job Description

Title: Manager, Finished Good Production Planning

Reports to: Associate Director, Finished Good Production Planning & Procurement

Supervises: Finished Good Production Planning – Associates (2)

Overview

The Manager of Finished Goods Procurement provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Finished Goods Procurement team, ensuring priorities, supplier capacity, performance, and delivery risks are effectively managed while empowering team members to independently own their responsibilities. This role serves as a key link between the team and the Associate Director, providing high level visibility into performance, risks, constraints, and areas requiring escalation.

In addition to team oversight, the Manager maintains direct ownership of a key strategic supplier and special product categories, including Candles and Timepieces. The role ensures purchase orders and supply remain aligned with demand, supplier capacity, and product lifecycle needs, proactively identifying exceptions and driving resolution in partnership with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Finished Goods Procurement team, establishing priorities, monitoring supplier capacity and performance, and ensuring responsibilities are executed effectively while empowering team members to independently manage their areas of ownership.

· Monitor overall team workload, supplier capacity and utilization, supplier performance, delivery risks, and open priorities, stepping in to provide direction, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues when necessary.

· Provide the Associate Director of Finished Goods Procurement with high-level updates on team performance, capacity risks and constraints, supplier risks, delivery concerns, and key business priorities, highlighting areas requiring leadership attention or escalation.

· Act as the primary Buyer and relationship owner for a key strategic supplier, managing capacity and production planning, supplier performance, delivery, business priorities, and ongoing communication.

· Manage procurement and execution of special product categories and orders, including Candles and Timepieces, coordinating across suppliers and internal partners to ensure capacity supports demand and timing, quantities, costs, and delivery requirements are achieved.

· Oversee purchase order and supply alignment, considering supplier capacity and demand requirements, and identifying exceptions requiring action, including orders pegged to excess demand, inactive items, changing lifecycle status, or other supply/demand misalignment.

·Support additional Finished Goods Procurement and Manufacturing Operations initiatives as business needs arise.

Essential Qualifications:

· Minimum 5-7+ years of experience within Product Development and/or Procurement

· Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team through guidance, accountability, and effective delegation.

· Strong understanding of procurement, supplier management, capacity planning, supply and demand planning, and manufacturing operations.

· Ability to identify, analyze and communicate critical supplier, capacity, delivery, and supply risks and determine when intervention or escalation is required.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage relationships across internal teams and external suppliers.

· Proven ability to prioritize multiple business needs, provide direction, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

·  Proficiency in Excel and Oracle.

Travel: Some travel required

Estimated Salary Range: $95,000-110,000

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
