About this role
Description
AWS Marketing is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead builder enablement programs within Marketing Strategy, Operations & Enablement (MSOE). In this role, you will serve as the strategic lead for cross-functional programs that develop and empower AWS Marketing builders — including early career talent, people managers, and the broader marketing population — to grow, deliver results, and enable their teams.
You will develop and execute program strategy as the single-threaded owner of three flagship programs: the Early Career Talent (ECT) program, Inside AWS Marketing Spotlight Series (IAMSS), and AWS Marketing Manager Central. These programs share knowledge globally and create experiences that raise the bar for builders at every level.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned program leader who thrives in ambiguity, earns trust across organizational boundaries, and leverages qualitative and quantitative data to continuously evolve programs. You think big about strategy, dive deep into execution, and communicate with clarity and confidence to senior leaders.
Key job responsibilities
Early Career Talent (ECT) Program (~60%)
● Lead the ECT program end-to-end — developing and executing the experience strategy for interns and their managers from post-offer acceptance through offboarding.
● Drive manager enablement across the full lifecycle: preparation, onboarding, intern project planning, performance management resources, and serving as the central point of contact to unblock success.
● Design and deliver intern programming — including pre-Day One communications, org-specific onboarding, skill-building sessions, Ask Me Anythings, and lunch-and-learns — that provides an expansive, diversified experience.
● Inspect program quality through surveys, focus groups, and 1:1 mechanisms; identify and act on improvement opportunities.
● Own year-round program strategy, including postmortems, operating plans, and experience strategy documents that codify execution and think big about amplifying impact.
● Build and execute a brand strategy for the ECT program to improve awareness and engagement across AWS Marketing, including among the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT).
● Lead the ECT Tiger Team with cross-functional partners (AUTA, PXT, Finance, Talent Acquisition, WFP) — owning agendas, tracking milestones, and driving accountability.
Inside AWS Marketing Spotlight Series (~20%)
● Own the IAMSS program strategy and vision, including the content calendar, themes, and tenets grounding each session.
● Partner with the CMO's Communications team to prioritize topics; identify and recruit speakers, serving as the final decision maker on content and program direction.
● Develop promotion mechanisms to drive attendance and prime the funnel for future sessions.
● Inspect attendee feedback and evolve the series format and strategy accordingly.
AWS Marketing Manager Central (~20%)
● Own the Manager Central Quick app, including quarterly content refreshes to keep action items and timelines current.
● Maintain a 2–3 day SLA on responding to manager feedback submitted through the app.
● Partner with PXT bimonthly to review feedback, make go/no-go decisions, and incorporate approved inputs into the manager enablement strategy roadmap.
● Inspect performance via feedback trends and app analytics (unique visitors, engagement patterns) to identify improvement opportunities.
