Warehouse Loader – 2nd Shift

Location: Branchburg, NJ
Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Warehouse Loader to join a busy distribution and warehouse operation. This position is responsible for picking customer orders, operating material handling equipment, preparing products for shipment, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining an organized and safe warehouse.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of warehouse experience and is comfortable operating a sit-down forklift, reach truck, and electric rider pallet jack.

Responsibilities

- Accurately pick and pull customer orders for shipment
- Verify product types and quantities before orders are shipped
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and electric rider pallet jacks as required
- Move completed orders to shipping and delivery areas
- Select, stack, and safely secure products on pallets
- Inspect pallets for proper labeling, shipping information, and safe load configuration
- Repack and weigh orders as needed
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
- Place inventory into designated warehouse racking locations
- Break down and restack merchandise as needed
- Verify shipments for accuracy and inspect products for damage
- Identify and report damaged or nonconforming products
- Complete required warehouse paperwork and documentation
- Assist with physical inventory counts
- Perform equipment safety inspections before use
- Immediately report unsafe equipment or warehouse conditions
- Help maintain a clean, organized warehouse by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and organizing work areas
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
- Assist with ordering warehouse supplies when needed

Equipment

Candidates should be comfortable operating or learning to operate various types of material handling equipment (MHE) , including:

- Sit-down forklifts
- Reach trucks, including Crown or Raymond
- Electric rider pallet jacks
- Other warehouse material handling equipment

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience
- Forklift certification required
- Certification/experience operating an electric rider pallet jack
- Experience with order picking and palletizing
- Ability to accurately read labels and shipping information
- Ability to safely lift, move, stack, and organize products
- Ability to perform physical warehouse work throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse position requiring employees to:

- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently bend, reach, lift, and move materials
- Load and unload products
- Operate material handling equipment safely
- Move and stack pallets and merchandise
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
