Job Title: Head of Finance Job Description
The Round Rock business unit is seeking a Head of Finance to join the team. This role involves managing all aspects of financial operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and related analysis. The position requires overseeing daily and monthly accounting activities, ensuring processes and internal controls are implemented and followed. The Head of Finance will lead the finance team to ensure delivery of the business units financial month-end, year-end, budget, and other reporting requirements, while supporting the divisional finance team with necessary financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, complying with USGAAP and relevant laws.
- Report financial results to the General Manager and Group Controller, including month-end, forecasts, budget, half-year, and year-end reports.
- Explain variances to forecasts and ensure a strong governance culture and control environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures, providing corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Implement the Groups KPIs and ensure accurate financial analysis.
- Oversee budget process, collect inputs, and compare actual performance to budgeted performance.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to finance team members, ensuring competence and enabling change initiatives.
- Promote high standards through personal example and ensure team members understand expected standards and behaviors.
- Lead ad-hoc projects and assist with project implementation.
- Manage a variety of projects within the growing and expanding nuclear division.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting from an accredited university or college.
- 10+ years of finance experience with a comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial analysis techniques in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment, such as nuclear.
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to balance priorities.
- Commercially and financially astute with strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Leadership and people management skills, including motivating staff to achieve goals.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to manage time-critical requirements effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certification preferred, such as MBA, CPA, or CMA.
- Experience with the Syteline application is advantageous.
- Experience in an organization with a nuclear division is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in a friendly office environment in Round Rock, with minimal travel required. The role involves leading the finance organization for the business unit, partnering closely with the Director of Operations based in RR and reporting to the GM of the RR site, with a dotted line to the Group Controller in the UK. The team is seeing significant growth in the nuclear division. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125300.00 - $165000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
