The VP, Segment CIO, Pharmacy, is a member of the Pharmacy executive leadership team. As such, this individual will provide strategic and operational leadership. The CIO’s duties include overseeing the IT Department, assessing current business needs, optimizing or creating new processes to facilitate effective solution delivery and support, making recommendations related to acquisitions and divestitures, making the appropriate
buy/build/partner decisions,and directing the executive team on the how Information Technology advances their business. The CIO is also responsible working cross functionally across the enterprise to ensure Pharmacy Technology is highly resilient, secure and robust. This role is responsible for managing key business and IT vendor relationships and is the IT Leader that interacts with Key Externals Partners, Clients, and Customers.

Job Description:

Leads, develops and oversees all IT needs for Humana Pharmacy P&L which includes 4 sub-organizations:

(1) Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM),

(2) Enclara Hospice Pharmacy,

(3) Humana Specialty Pharmacy,

(4) Traditional, OTC, and Retail Pharmacies.

Responsibilities:

• Executive leadership responsibility with DomaniRx (Humana, Anthem, SS&C Joint Venture)

• Works with Executive IT staff to develop and implement department goals

• Oversees large scale transformation initiatives, including the definition, design, development, implementation, and transformation of people, processes, and technology.

• Staying abreast of emerging technologies that can accelerate business goals and increase company profits

• Driving pharmacy business outcomes through an Omni-channel eCommerce lens

• Creating and implementing IT policies, protocols and standards. Influencing Enterprise IT policies, protocols, and standards.

• Create direction and promote talent development activities for all Pharmacy IT employees. 3 VP & Segment CIO, Pharmacy Humana

• Nurture the business and IT cultures and enable enhancements to support an inclusive work environment.

• Working with Pharmacy business leaders and senior IT leaders to develop the Pharmacy IT department budget.

• Ensuring that Pharmacy IT department strategies and processes support overall business goals.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- 10 or more years of technical experience
- 8 or more years of management experience
- Broad understanding of Information Technology solutions including Retail technologies, platforms, applications and capabilities in Pharma and Healthcare
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's Degree
- 5 or more years of IT Management experience

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
