Anglicare is looking for an experienced Communications & Engagement Manager to play a pivotal role in how Anglicare Seniors Communities communicates, engages and builds trusted relationships with residents, communities, and stakeholders.  This is a unique, blended leadership role spanning strategic communications, internal communications, community engagement, reputation management and change.

You will work across an evolving Seniors Communities portfolio, supporting everything from organisational transformation and resident communications to complex property development and community consultation.

Your opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, Sales and Marketing, you will lead communications and engagement across the customer journey, from pre-development consultation and community engagement through to internal communications, resident engagement, and brand storytelling. You will play an important role in building community trust, strengthening our reputation and supporting successful Development Application (DA) and State Significant Development Application (SSDA) outcomes.

Partnering across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Property Development and Community teams, you’ll shape clear and compelling communications while leading and developing a dedicated communications and engagement team

With integrity and resilience, you will:

- Lead integrated communications and engagement strategies across Seniors Communities.
- Shape internal, executive, resident, and customer communications.
- Lead engagement supporting DA and State Significant Development Application projects.
- Build strong relationships with residents, councils, community groups and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate community forums and support communications through development and construction activity.
- Lead content strategy and storytelling across digital, print, social and customer channels.
- Provide expertise across change, reputation, and crisis communications.
- Lead, coach, and develop a communications and engagement team

What you’ll bring

You are an experienced communications leader who can navigate complexity, influence diverse stakeholders, and turn complex information into communication that connects and builds trust.

What’s required:

- 8+ years’ experience across communications, engagement, PR, content, or brand.
- Strong strategic communications and stakeholder influencing capability.
- Experience navigating complex or sensitive community engagement environments.
- Ideally, experience supporting property, construction, DA or SSDA projects.
- Exceptional writing, facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- A measured and strategic approach, combined with the ability to build genuine relationships.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or a related discipline

What’s preferred:

- Experience across property, retirement living, healthcare, aged care or community sectors will be highly regarded.
