Job Summary:

The College of Education is seeking an hourly, short-term, English Language Development (ELD) District Partnership Liaison. This is a part-time (0.50 FTE), 12-month, position.  This position is expected to last approximately 9 months.

This position supports the Teachers of Multilingual Learners project by serving as a liaison between the project team and participating K-12 school districts. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the incumbent coordinates outreach and partnership activities, facilitates communication with teachers, instructional facilitators, and administrators, and supports the development, piloting, and continuous improvement of professional learning materials and resources. The position plays a key role in fostering collaborative relationships with district partners and ensuring the successful implementation of project activities and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the development and revision of teacher-, facilitator-, and administrator-facing professional learning materials and resources for teachers of multilingual learners
- Facilitate ongoing communication with and support of teachers, facilitators, and administrators involved with piloting the professional learning materials and resources for teachers of multilingual learners, drawing upon expertise in building relationships with diverse stakeholders from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Participate in ongoing team meetings to support the development, revision, and piloting of professional learning materials and resources for teachers of multilingual learners
- Co-plan and co-facilitate meetings of K-12 school district partners participating in the development and piloting of professional learning materials and resources for teachers of multilingual learners

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Masters in Education or related field

- 5+ years of experience as a K-12 district administrator in Oregon with responsibilities for multilingual learner programs

- Experience with instructional coaching for teachers of multilingual learners

- Participation in Oregon cross-district statewide partnerships focused on multilingual learners and integrated ELD settings

- Understanding of how practical measures approaches can be used to support instructional improvement for multilingual learners
- Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully and inclusively, both in writing and verbally, with a diverse audience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- EdD or PhD in Education or related field
- Prior experience supporting the development and revision of practical measures and related resources in integrated ELD settings

# Working Conditions/Schedule:
Typical work conditions are remote. Work will typically take place between Monday through Friday within the hours of 8am to 5pm. Travel may occasionally be required to K-12 school sites in various locations in Oregon.

Salary Range:

$27.63-$35.83 per hour
