About this role

Korum Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Used Car Technician/Mechanic to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a service technician and demonstrate expertise in vehicle maintenance. Daily responsibilities include conducting thorough safety inspections and performing necessary repairs to ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards.

Hiring Hourly Pay Range: $25.86 to $30.38 Flat Rate

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems efficiently and accurately.

- Perform routine maintenance and necessary repairs to keep vehicles in excellent working condition.

- Collaborate with the service team to maintain workflow and deliver outstanding customer service.

- Document all inspections, maintenance, and repairs clearly and accurately.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably with used vehicles.

- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.

- Ability to perform detailed safety inspections and identify mechanical issues.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Valid automotive certifications and a commitment to ongoing training is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Perform safety inspections on used vehicles

- Complete appropriate repairs and recalls as required

- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

- Coordinate with the Service Manager and Used Vehicle Reconditioning Manager to ensure reconditioning meets standards and is completed on time

Qualifications

- 2-3 years of Service Technician experience

- Must provide your own tools

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience at a dealership is preferred

- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination

- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

- Enjoys working in a dynamic environment

- Teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively

- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
