Every institution values excellence. What matters most is why. Griffith was created to be a different type of university. You’ll find we’re about leading research, academic excellence, and the transformative power of education. But what sets us apart is why those things matter and how you’ll achieve them.

Why? Griffith brings together exceptional minds like yours from across the globe and from all walks of life. Here, we do incredible work, questioning and challenging, always in the pursuit of excellence.

Job Description

About the opportunity

As Director, you will lead Property, Assets & Campus Services (PACS), a newly integrated function with end-to-end responsibility for the planning, development, delivery, operation, maintenance and stewardship of Griffith University’s property portfolio, built assets, grounds and campus services.

Bringing together five interconnected streams - Planning & Development, Environment & Biodiversity, Engineering Governance & Assurance, Capital Works Delivery, and Facilities & Campus Services - PACS supports the entire asset lifecycle and the delivery of safe, sustainable, resilient and fit-for-purpose campus environments.

You will set the strategic direction for PACS, translate University priorities into disciplined delivery, and strengthen service performance, governance, assurance and lifecycle asset outcomes. Your leadership will directly shape the campus experience and long-term value delivered for students, staff and the wider University community.

This is an opportunity to unite a diverse function around a clear service vision and build a high-performing culture of accountability, innovation and collaboration.

About you

- You will bring extensive executive leadership experience across complex property, infrastructure, asset management, facilities and campus service environments.
- You have successfully led and developed large, multi-disciplinary teams, balancing strategic direction with operational performance and delivery.
- Your experience may span consulting, contracting, construction, institutional property or related service environments, giving you strong commercial judgement and an enterprise-wide perspective.
- You can influence organisational strategy, navigate competing priorities and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and diverse communities.
- You combine strong governance and assurance discipline with practical problem-solving and a record of delivering sustainable outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across diverse groups.
- Highly developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on achieving practical and sustainable outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of policies, frameworks and governance practices.

What we can offer

This full-time, five-year senior contract is based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As a member of the Corporate Services executive team, you will have the platform and leadership support to influence University-wide priorities and lead the next stage of PACS integration and performance.

You will join a highly engaged team and a values-led University that supports work-life balance, innovation and creative approaches. The breadth of the portfolio offers variety, visible impact and the opportunity to shape campus environments that enable Griffith’s teaching, research and community mission.

As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
