Job Title: Process Engineer Job Description The Process Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for assigned manufacturing processes, equipment, and production areas, with a focus on electronics and semiconductor packaging. This role drives the development, optimization, and implementation of next-generation packaging solutions, ensures high-quality process inputs and outputs, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to enhance performance, reduce costs, and support strategic technology initiatives. Responsibilities

- Act as the subject matter expert for assigned processes, equipment, and manufacturing areas.
- Understand and consult on equipment capabilities, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting, process materials, and industry trends to support next-generation customer solutions.
- Provide input into the strategic direction of assigned areas, including technology roadmaps, capital equipment needs and opportunities, risk mitigation plans, and supplier selection and decisions.
- Develop new, innovative processes and refine existing proprietary packaging solutions within the assigned areas.
- Test, validate, and implement new processes or process adjustments in accordance with established quality policies and procedures.
- Ensure process inputs and outputs meet all customer requirements, internal specifications, and quality policy standards, and promptly report any quality issues or compliance deviations to manufacturing and leadership.
- Communicate regularly with manufacturing and management regarding the status, performance, and critical needs of assigned areas.
- Continuously assess operations and recommend actions to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiencies, ensuring all changes comply with applicable change control requirements.
- Provide direct interface and collaborative support to suppliers and customers as needed to resolve issues, optimize processes, and support new product or process introductions.
- Maintain a culture of total cleanliness, safety, and security on a daily basis, safeguarding both physical and intellectual property of customers and suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, design engineers, and packaging engineers to support development, prototyping, and production activities.
- Support troubleshooting of equipment, machines, and processes to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Apply data analysis to monitor process performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the development and refinement of wire bonding processes and equipment, including learning and mastering these technologies over time.

Essential Skills

- Strong process engineering background with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience in the electronics or semiconductor industries.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Proven troubleshooting skills for production equipment, machines, and processes.
- Experience or strong interest in packaging engineering and prototype design.
- Ability to understand and work with wire bonding processes and equipment, with willingness to develop deep expertise.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong collaboration skills when working with electrical engineers, design engineers, and packaging engineers.
- Ability to consult on equipment capabilities, programming, maintenance, and process materials.
- Capability to interface professionally with customers and suppliers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Eagerness and strong drive to build wire bonding experience, with openness to extensive training over a year
- Interest in electronics development and electronics manufacturing processes.
- Ability to contribute to technology roadmaps and capital equipment planning.
- Comfort with applying design of experiments (DOE) methodologies to optimize processes.
- Experience supporting proprietary packaging solutions or advanced packaging technologies.
- Strong communication skills to report status, issues, and recommendations clearly to manufacturing and management.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to participate in cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement initiatives.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. full benefits - health, dental, and vision
