About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Equipment Delivery Operations, you will protect the commercial interests of the business by reviewing and negotiating customer contracts, identifying material risks and ensuring agreed terms align with contracting principles, governance requirements and delegated authorities

Following contract award, you will lead the Contracts Administration team and oversee the establishment and administration of equipment orders from customer acceptance through to delivery, invoicing and close out. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, Project Delivery, Logistics, Finance and specialist support functions to enable compliant execution and positive commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include

- Leading commercial reviews and negotiations for equipment contracts
- Identifying contractual risks, departures and delivery obligations
- Ensuring contractual rights are preserved through effective notices, claims, approvals and records
- Leading, developing and supporting the Contracts Administration team
- Establishing clear responsibilities, service standards, workload allocation and escalation pathways
- Owning a controlled and timely order take on process for all equipment orders
- Ensuring accurate order entry and disciplined handover from Sales and Business Development
- Confirming contractual milestones, payment terms, documentation requirements and customer approvals
- Overseeing contract administration activities including invoicing, claims, variations, notices and close out
- Coordinating vendor data, drawing submissions and customer review and approval requirements
- Managing escalated customer administration matters and strengthening service consistency
- Maintaining visibility of obligations, emerging risks, delays and overdue actions throughout the order lifecycle

About You

- You will bring practical commercial judgement, strong leadership capability and a thorough understanding of equipment order processing and contract administration.
- At least five years of experience in contract administration, contract negotiation, tendering, bid leadership, commercial management or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team
- A strong understanding of the complete equipment order lifecycle, from customer acceptance through to delivery, invoicing and close out
- Experience allocating work, managing priorities and establishing consistent service standards
- Working knowledge of contracts and purchase order requirements
- The ability to identify missing information, contractual obligations and matters requiring commercial or legal escalation
- Strong attention to detail when maintaining order records, system data, documentation, approvals and milestones
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A practical and responsive approach to customer service
