As a Senior Risk & Compliance Specialist ( Regulatory ), you'll play a key role in strengthening our risk and compliance capability, partnering with stakeholders across the business to embed effective risk management practices and support informed decision-making.

Reporting into our Business Risk & Compliance team, you'll provide trusted advice and guidance to leaders across RAC Insurance, helping them understand and manage their risk and compliance obligations. You'll work closely with Accountable Persons, governance committees and regulators to ensure RAC Insurance meets its obligations while maintaining a strong risk culture.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing advice and support to Accountable Persons regarding their obligations under the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR).
- Advising business stakeholders on regulatory and legislative compliance requirements.
- Acting as the primary liaison between business areas and the FAR Office Committee.
- Maintaining accountable person registers, governance records and regulatory submission registers.

- Partnering with business leaders, risk owners and control owners to strengthen risk management practices.
- Facilitating strategic and operational risk reviews and supporting risk-based decision making.
- Monitoring key risks, controls and compliance obligations, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Conducting control design effectiveness reviews and supporting remediation activities.
- Providing risk and compliance advice on projects, business initiatives and process changes.
- Supporting business continuity planning and risk reporting activities.
- Reviewing regulatory developments and assisting the business in responding to changing obligations.
- Educating and coaching stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness and accountability across RAC Insurance.

What you'll bring

- Experience in risk management and/or compliance, preferably within insurance or financial services.
- A solid understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks.
- Knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards, ASIC requirements, Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) and broader financial services regulation will be highly regarded.
- Experience implementing APRA CPS 230 requirements and operational resilience frameworks would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, business-focused solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- The ability to influence, educate and simplify complex risk and compliance concepts.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for building capability in others
