About this role

Create your best future and join Westpac as an Assistant Transaction Relationship Manager (ATRM)

What’s the role?

You’ll play a key role supporting Global Transaction Services clients by working closely with Transaction Relationship Managers (TRM) to support their deal flow and sales activity. This role is primarily designed to provide execution, coordination and administrative support to TRMs — it is not a standalone sales role. You’ll help keep client portfolios running smoothly by coordinating internal processes, maintaining sales governance activities and supporting pricing, risk, documentation and approval requirements.

Your focus will be on supporting TRMs to progress portfolio activity and deal management, including end-to-end deal lifecycle coordination, pricing, solutioning, internal approvals and stakeholder follow-up. You will partner closely with TRMs to help progress new business, client requests and transformation opportunities across their portfolios.

You’ll also have the opportunity to independently manage a small portfolio of clients while building your skills andexperience. If you’re interested in progressing into a Transaction Relationship Manager sales role in the future, this position provides a strong pathway, with an expected commitment of at least 18–24 months in the ATRM role.

This is a permanent, Melbourne based opportunity with a minimum of three days in the office each week to connect with the wider team.

What do I need?

You’ll bring a client-focused approach, strong communication skills and the confidence to coordinate work across different teams. You’ll also have:

- Experience supporting clients in banking, financial services or another complex service environment.

- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders.

- The ability to organise competing priorities, follow client requests through to completion and maintain strong attention to detail.

- A practical understanding of transactional banking products, lending or financial markets, or an interest in building this knowledge.

- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with sound judgement and a focus on improving the client experience.
