Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Staff Coordinator, you'll provide vital administrative support to the Medical Staff Office, managing efficient credentialing, privileging, and re-credentialing processes, thereby maintaining compliance and supporting quality care.Every day, you will manage credentialing cycles (applications, verification, files) and support Medical Staff Committees (materials, minutes, communication). You'll ensure regulatory compliance, maintain the medical staff database, and serve as a resource.To succeed, you need meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, deep understanding of credentialing, excellent communication, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.

- Credentialing - Performs the credentialing of new applicants/re-applicants, which would include such tasks as processing the applications, following up with letters of appointment/reappointment, identification of problem issues, as requested.

- Processes Provisional Evaluations in accordance with policies.

- Completes applications, reapplications, and provisional evaluations within required time frames.

- Data Entry - Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of the medical staff database.

- Clerical Support - Shared responsibility for the traditional clerical functions of the centralized credentialing office, which include: phones, photocopying, opening and distributing mail, etc.

- Oversees and maintains documentation for continuous credentialing purposes.

Job Requirements

Required

- Associates Other Medical Staff Science or equivalent courses or or equivalent courses, training and experience, upon hire and

- minimum of two years' experience in Medical Staff Services, including credentialing functions

- Fire Safety, within 90 Days and

Preferred

- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist, upon hire or

- Prof Medical Services Manager, upon hire
