Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Oversee and manage the complete production process related to hydraulics components within the Farm Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
- Ensure that all hydraulic systems and subsystems meet quality standards, specifications, and production targets efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to implement improvements in hydraulic designs and manufacturing processes.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis for hydraulic component failures, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor production schedules, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime in hydraulic production lines.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols specific to hydraulics manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to maintain the quality and timely availability of hydraulic parts and materials.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements pertinent to hydraulics manufacturing.
- Mentor and guide the production team, fostering continuous skill development and enhancing team productivity.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, challenges, and improvement plans to senior management.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in hydraulics production or manufacturing roles.
- Demonstrable experience in managing hydraulics manufacturing operations, preferably within the agricultural machinery or automotive sectors.
- Proven track record in supervising production teams and managing quality control processes for hydraulic components.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and their applications in tractor manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with production planning, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance related to hydraulics production.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and interfacing with engineering, supply chain, and quality departments.
Industry Preferred
Experience in the following industries is preferred for this role:
- Agricultural machinery manufacturing, especially tractor production.
- Automotive manufacturing, with a focus on hydraulic systems and components.
- Heavy equipment and machinery production involving hydraulic technology.
- Mechanical manufacturing environments where hydraulic assembly and quality control are critical.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) or a relevant Diploma with a strong focus on mechanical systems.
- Educational background should provide a solid foundation in hydraulics, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design principles.
- Additional certifications or training in hydraulic system design, production management, or lean manufacturing is advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems and safety regulations related to mechanical and hydraulic production.
- Proficiency in using production planning and monitoring tools relevant to manufacturing.
