A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:
As Director of Medical & Healthcare, you will lead the department to deliver business targets with a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. You will oversee business performance, budgets, laboratory resources, technical capabilities, and team development, while strengthening strategic customer relationships and identifying opportunities to develop and commercialize new services.
What You’ll Do:
- Take overall responsibility for departmental business performance, including service income, value added, budget management, and achievement of approved business targets.
- Lead the department’s daily operations and optimize the allocation of personnel, laboratory equipment, subcontractors, and other resources to improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee sales performance, provide guidance to improve results, and ensure agreed business targets are achieved.
- Maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts, drive customer satisfaction and retention, and ensure customer complaints are resolved effectively and in a timely manner.
- Identify emerging business opportunities and collaborate with R&D and relevant teams to develop and commercialize new services.
- Ensure testing processes comply with customer requirements and applicable standards, while maintaining consistently high-quality results.
- Manage testing equipment and investment planning, ensuring effective utilization of laboratory assets and cost-efficient operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze business performance, and take appropriate actions to ensure targets are met.
- Lead performance evaluation, recruitment, capability development, and regular training for departmental employees.
- Coordinate with Technical, Quality, Certification, Marketing, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless service delivery and business support.
- Evaluate and approve new technologies, methodologies, and processes to continuously improve departmental capabilities and performance.
- Authorize price discounts and project-related costs in accordance with the approved budget and Schedule of Authority, and provide regular business updates to the Vice President.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, with strong technical and standards knowledge in the responsible service area.
- Strong technical expertise in the relevant product testing and service areas, with appropriate qualifications or technical authorization for the responsible scope.
- Strong business and operational management capabilities, including budgeting, KPI management, resource planning, and project management.
- Proven people leadership skills, with experience in performance management, recruitment, coaching, and team development.
- Strong customer orientation, with the ability to manage strategic accounts, resolve customer issues, and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Strong collaboration and change agility, with the ability to work effectively across Technical, Quality, Certification, Marketing, and other relevant teams.
- Good command of English in both oral and written communication, with a strong awareness of quality.
