A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:
As a Sustainability Auditor , you will support and deliver carbon verification or ESG assurance engagements , working with clients and DEKRA teams across key sustainability services such as:
- Organizational GHG verification (ISO 14064-1)
- Product carbon footprint verification (ISO 14067)
- Carbon neutrality verification / certification (ISO 14068-1)
- ESG assurance aligned with GRI, ISSB and ESRS
- CBAM, ISCC and Battery PCF-related verification services
You will participate in document reviews, on-site audits, and report preparation , while developing broader verification, client communication and project-delivery capabilities in an international team environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct or participate in organizational GHG verification, product carbon footprint verification and carbon neutrality work in accordance with ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067, ISO 14068-1 and applicable national / industry guidelines.
- Participate in document reviews, on-site audits and and prepare clear, professional verification reports.
- Conduct ESG report disclosure and data quality assessments.
- Evaluate client performance across environmental, labor & human rights, health & safety, business ethics and other sustainability pillars.
- Identify compliance gaps, risks and improvement opportunities, and support clients in developing and following up corrective actions.
- Support end-to-end project coordination and maintain professional communication with clients, internal stakeholders and international colleagues, including teams in Germany,Spain and Netherlands.
- Monitor domestic and international carbon / ESG policy and standard updates and contribute to internal methodology improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Energy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainable Development, ESG, or a related field; Environmental Engineering is preferred. Outstanding fresh graduates from relevant ESG disciplines may also be considered.
- Relevant audit, carbon or sustainability experience is preferred; candidates with approximately 3–10 years of experience are especially welcome, while high-potential entry-level candidates may be considered for junior openings.
- CCAA GHG Verifier qualification is required (not required for fresh graduates with overseas study experience.).
- For experienced candidates, prior hands-on experience with at least one third-party certification or auditing organization is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067 and ISO 14068-1, and familiarity with GRI, ISSB and ESRS; ability to develop toward independent verification delivery.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills, Communication skills, professional integrity, client-service orientation, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and willingness to travel frequently for on-site audits.
- Strong English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills for collaboration with international teams, including Germany; CET-6 score of 425+ or equivalent is preferred for early-career candidates.
Nice to Have
- APSCA registration, ISCC EU/CORSIA audit qualification, or other relevant sustainability / audit credentials.
- Exposure to CBAM, EcoVadis, Battery PCF / new battery regulations, related sustainability services, or overseas study experience; these areas can be developed further through training after joining.
