Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Advocacy team, part of our Risk business at Marsh . This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Consultant - Claims Advocacy (FINPRO)

The Claims Advocate will provide regional claims advocacy support across Asia for Financial Lines (FINPRO) claims, including Directors’ & Officers’ Liability, Professional Indemnity, Crime, and etc. This role involves advising clients on their rights and obligations under policy wordings, coordinating claim strategy, and advocating for favorable outcomes with insurers.

We will count on you to:

- Handle a portfolio of complex FINPRO claims, including major losses across Directors’ & Officers’ Liability, Professional Indemnity, Crime, and Cyber insurance
- Advise clients on their rights and obligations under applicable FINPRO policies and provide technical claims guidance
- Formulate claims strategies with clients and coordinate with insureds, insurers, client’s lawyers, and insurer’s coverage counsel to achieve prompt and maximum settlements
- Review insurance policy wordings and suggest improvements where appropriate, liaising with placement brokers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, coverage counsel, and internal business partners• Support claims reporting, process efficiencies, trend analysis, and ad-hoc claims-related projects

What you need to have:

- Preferably at least 2 years legal experience with significant dispute resolution experience, OR solid FINPRO insurance claims handling experience
- Good understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, including litigation management and relevant claims procedures
- Strong negotiation and conflict management skills, with the ability to manage contentious situations and conflicting priorities
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to absorb, assess, and recommend on complex information
