Mechanical Lead Process Area-South Korea

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead Process Area to support a major international offshore energy construction and commissioning project in South Korea. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and leading mechanical commissioning activities within the process area, ensuring safe and efficient execution of commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate mechanical commissioning activities for process systems.

- Supervise commissioning teams and contractors during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases.

- Ensure compliance with project procedures, operational requirements, and HSE standards.

- Interface with multidisciplinary teams including Operations, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Construction.

- Review commissioning documentation, procedures, test packs, and punch lists.

- Support system handover activities and operational readiness processes.

- Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up.

Requirements

- Extensive experience in Mechanical Commissioning within Oil & Gas, LNG, FLNG, Petrochemical, or Energy projects.

- Proven experience in a Lead or Supervisory role.

- Strong knowledge of commissioning and start-up methodologies.

- Previous offshore commissioning and start-up experience.

- Experience working on large-scale EPC projects.

- Previous FLNG project experience is highly preferred.

- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.

- Willingness to travel and support activities at other project locations when required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

- Previous experience in LNG/FLNG facilities.

- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
