About the role

At Sulzer, our Service Centres play a critical role in supporting customers across a wide range of industries. Our network of nine UK Service Centres provides expert maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade services for rotating equipment, helping customers maximise reliability, efficiency and operational performance. From pumps and motors to turbines and compressors, our teams keep essential industrial assets running safely and effectively.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a highly organised Purchasing Administrator to support our team of Category Buyers who manage procurement activities across our UK Service Centre network.
Key Responsibilities

- Provide administrative support to a team of Category Buyers.
- Create and maintain purchase orders within SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Monitor order acknowledgements and delivery schedules.
- Update procurement records and supplier information accurately.
- Assist with supplier communications and follow up on outstanding orders.
- Support reporting and analysis of purchasing data.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the UK Service Centre network.
- Ensure procurement documentation is maintained in line with company policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, supply chain or administration role.
- Experience using SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Comfortable working independently in a home-based environment.

- Home-based working arrangement with flexibility to work remotely; however, ideally you will be located within reasonable travelling distance of one of our UK Service Centres to support collaborative working, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and enable occasional attendance at planned team and site meetings. Travel requirements are limited and always scheduled in advance.
