Job Purpose
Plan, coordinate and control the daily movement of Client’s personnel, materials and equipment at Majnoon Oil Field, making sure every journey is planned, approved and tracked in line with Client’s journey management and road safety requirements, and that transport services are delivered on time. Day-to-day work is assigned and supervised by the Client’s Transport / Logistics Department
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and issue daily transport schedules for Client’s staff movements, shift buses and light vehicles between Basra city, accommodation and Majnoon field locations.
- Coordinate movement of materials and equipment with Client’s warehouse, maintenance and operations sections.
- Apply Client’s journey management rules: receive and check trip requests, obtain approvals, plan routes, track check-in and check-out, and escalate overdue vehicles.
- Check that vehicles and drivers are compliant before dispatch: pre-trip inspections, valid licences and vehicle documents.
- Follow up day-to-day performance of transport service providers engaged by Client: vehicle allocation, driver attendance and utilisation.
- Check transport service records and usage sheets for accuracy before they go to Client’s Finance for processing.
- Coordinate vehicle passes, field access permits and checkpoint clearances with CLIENT Security.
- Support the Client’s Emergency Response Plan with transport for medical evacuation, muster and evacuation scenarios.
- Keep transport records up to date and prepare weekly and monthly reports (utilisation, on-time performance, fuel, incidents).
- Suggest improvements such as route optimisation and vehicle pooling.
- Follow Client’s procedures, instructions and approval routes
- Submit monthly timesheets approved by the Client’s supervisor on time.
Technical Qualification & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transport, logistics, site coordination or project coordination, preferably in oil and gas or on large construction sites.
- Working knowledge of journey management, road safety and vehicle inspection practices.
- Experience with fleet tracking systems is an advantage.
- Good command of MS Excel, Outlook and Word; able to build and maintain schedules and trackers.
- Valid Iraqi driving licence.
