Location: Portland House, Sheffield S3 8UG

Working Hours: 37 Hours Monday to Friday with one late night as required
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240.03 per annum

About the role:

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive HOPE ( (Health, Outreach, Prevention and Engagement) Worker to join our team. In this role, you’ll support individuals affected by substance misuse by providing immediate, practical help and encouraging long-term recovery.

You’ll work closely with service users, professionals, and the wider community to reduce harm, prevent relapse, and help people build healthier, more stable lives.

What You’ll Do:

- Manage a varied caseload of clients and support them in achieving recovery.
- Support service users in accessing resources and services to increase their recovery capital and achieve recovery goals.
- Work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to managers and colleagues.
- Comply with monitoring and evaluation systems, collect and monitor information, and provide reports when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with organisational guidelines.
- Comply with the organisation's Code of Conduct and Safeguarding policies.
- Reduce substance-related harm to individuals and the community.
- Participate in supervision and reflect on interpersonal dynamics within the therapeutic relationship.
- Uphold data protection legislation and service user confidentiality agreements.
- Provide a full range of services in an outreach and in-reach capacity.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

- The successful applicant must have some experience within substance misuse, recovery support or a similar type of role.
- Compassion and kindness to provide effective support and care to service users.
- Resilience to handle challenging situations and maintain a positive outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

A full driving licence and the ability to drive are essential requirements for this role. Access to and use of your own vehicle for work purposes is desirable.
