Graduate Analyst, Strategy & M&A

Fast-track into RIB's pivot from SaaS pioneer to AI leader

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Department: Strategy & M&A

Reporting to: Senior Strategy Manager, Casper Resenbro

RIB Software is a global leader in construction technology — the software that runs the world's engineering and construction industry. Having pioneered SaaS for our sector, we are now pivoting to become a leader in AI, with the ambition to become one of the top three construction technology companies in the world .

To get there, we are strengthening our Strategy & M&A team with a new generation of talent. We are looking for a graduate who thinks from first principles, is AI-native, and wants to start their professional journey with real responsibility — not a rotational programme, but a fast-track seat at the table alongside senior leaders who are shaping the company's next chapter.

Your role

From day one, you will take on direct responsibility within a small, senior team, working closely with leadership and functions across the business — not shadowing, but contributing analysis that shapes real decisions on strategy, market positioning, and M&A. You will help transform complex information into clear, actionable insight for leadership, commercial, and product teams, and you will be expected to challenge assumptions, reason from first principles, and use AI tools and agents natively in how you work.

Key responsibilities

Competitor & market intelligence

- Track competitors' financial performance, M&A activity, strategic moves, and market positioning — with particular focus on how AI is reshaping construction technology and who is leading that shift.
- Maintain dashboards and intelligence repositories that keep leadership current in real time.
- Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities relevant to RIB's ambition to become a top-three global player .

Strategy execution support

- Support Playing to Win processes and strategic priority tracking, including RIB's transition from SaaS pioneer to AI leader.
- Prepare strategy updates, leadership briefs, business cases, and executive-ready presentations — using AI tools to work faster and think sharper.
- Analyse commercial performance and support go-to-market effectiveness initiatives.

M&A and insight development

- Support the development and assessment of M&A cases, including target screening, market assessments, commercial due diligence, and integration planning.
- Support market sizing, customer segmentation, growth analyses, and other strategic projects.
- Analyse financial and commercial information to inform strategic and M&A decisions.
- Help prepare high-quality materials for leadership and board-level discussions.

Cross-functional collaboration

- Work closely with commercial, product, technology, and support functions — and directly with senior leaders, from day one.
- Help align organisational priorities with the strategic roadmap and support effective execution across RIB.

What you bring

- A completed (or nearly completed) master's degree in business, economics, finance, strategy, or a related field. Candidates with a relevant engineering or technical degree combined with strong business and financial acumen are also encouraged to apply.
- This is a graduate role: we are looking for potential and mindset, not years on a CV. Relevant internships, thesis work, or case-competition experience are a plus, but prior professional experience is not required.
- A first-principles thinker who questions assumptions and reasons from the ground up rather than defaulting to convention.
- Genuinely AI-native: you use AI tools, automations, and agents naturally in how you think and work, and you're excited to help a SaaS pioneer become an AI leader.
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- The ability to structure complex questions and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders — you will be in the room with them from the start.
- Excellent PowerPoint skills, with an ability to create concise, visually strong presentations grounded in clear narratives and data-driven argumentation.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to work.
- The ambition to fast-track your career: comfortable with direct responsibility, a steep learning curve, and being judged on impact rather than tenure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience in technology, SaaS, construction technology, or the Playing to Win strategy framework is an advantage, but not a requirement.

What matters most

We are looking for someone who shares our ambition to become one of the top three construction technology companies in the world — and who wants to help get us there by thinking differently, not by following a playbook. You are curious, rigorous, and impatient to make an impact. We will help you build the industry knowledge you need; you bring the first-principles mindset, the AI-native instincts, and the drive to help RIB move faster and smarter.
