Role Purpose

The Pricing & Tendering Supervisor / Senior Pricing Specialist is responsible for managing pricing, tendering, procurement, and vendor-related activities across Air, Ocean, Road, and Project Logistics.

The role is responsible for developing competitive and commercially viable logistics solutions for standard freight as well as complex project cargo requirements. This includes hands-on involvement in heavy lift, ODC/OOG cargo, breakbulk, and general cargo, with a strong focus on supplier sourcing, procurement, vendor relationships, rate negotiations, and tender management.

The position will work closely with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Project teams to support RFQs/RFPs, customer tenders, spot quotations, and project opportunities while ensuring competitive pricing, operational feasibility, and sustainable margins.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Tender Management

- Manage pricing activities across Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Transport, and Project Logistics.

- Review and analyze customer RFQs, RFPs, tenders, BOQs, and commercial requirements.

- Prepare accurate and competitive pricing and commercial submissions within required timelines.

- Develop complete door-to-door pricing solutions incorporating freight, transportation, handling, customs-related services, equipment, and other applicable logistics costs.

- Coordinate with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Project teams to develop commercially and operationally feasible solutions.

- Analyze cost structures, market rates, supplier quotations, and competitive positioning to support pricing decisions.

- Monitor margins and profitability and ensure pricing is aligned with commercial targets and internal requirements.

- Maintain accurate pricing records, rate sheets, tender documentation, and supporting commercial information.

Project Logistics & Special Cargo

- Support pricing and tendering for Project Logistics and complex cargo movements.

- Handle pricing requirements for heavy lift, ODC/OOG (Out-of-Gauge/Over-Dimensional Cargo), breakbulk, and general cargo.

- Source and price specialized transportation and handling solutions, including heavy-haul transport, cranes, specialized trailers, lifting equipment, port handling, and other project-specific services.

- Review cargo specifications, dimensions, weights, routing requirements, equipment requirements, and operational constraints when preparing project quotations.

- Coordinate with operational and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical, compliant, and commercially competitive.

- Support end-to-end project pricing covering origin, international freight, destination, inland transportation, handling, and associated project services.

Procurement & Vendor Management

- Source and develop reliable vendors, subcontractors, carriers, transporters, agents, and specialized project logistics service providers.

- Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms with airlines, shipping lines, road transporters, overseas agents, terminals, equipment providers, and project logistics vendors .

- Manage vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing, service reliability, and capacity availability.

- Support vendor evaluation, qualification, and prequalification processes.

- Develop and maintain a strong vendor network for both regular freight and specialized/project cargo requirements.

- Benchmark supplier rates and market conditions to continuously improve procurement competitiveness.

- Maintain updated vendor databases, rate agreements, and supplier performance information.

Required Profile

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within freight forwarding, logistics pricing, tendering, procurement, or project logistics.

- Strong practical experience in Air and Ocean Freight, with good understanding of Road Transportation.

- Demonstrated experience in Project Logistics, particularly heavy lift, ODC/OOG, breakbulk, and general cargo.

- Hands-on experience managing RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and complex pricing requests.

- Strong experience in procurement, vendor sourcing, vendor development, rate negotiation, and supplier relationship management.

- Good network and understanding of airlines, shipping lines, transporters, agents, and specialized logistics/service providers.

- Strong understanding of freight rates, logistics cost structures, routing, equipment requirements, and commercial terms.

- Ability to analyze complex requirements and develop commercially competitive logistics solutions.

- Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders and pricing requests within tight deadlines.

- Freight-forwarding experience within Saudi Arabia/GCC would be an advantage.

- Willingness to be based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with established experience and vendor networks in the Saudi/GCC freight-forwarding and project logistics market will be preferred, particularly those who have independently handled pricing and procurement for complex project cargo and multim odal logistics solutions.
