Job Description

Business Manager - Drive Systems

As Business Manager - Drive Systems, you will develop and execute strategies that expand Rockwell Automation's Drive Systems business across targeted industries, shape customer specifications, lead strategic pursuits, and build strong relationships with customers and partners. You will collaborate with sales teams, regional stakeholders, and Asia Pacific and Global Business Units to accelerate profitable growth and strengthen market position.

You will report to the Intelligent Devices Business Leader, India and will be based in Mumbai

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute industry-specific growth strategies for Drive Systems across targeted markets, applications, and strategic accounts.

• Identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, investment trends, and specification opportunities, and convert market insights into account and pursuit plans.

• Lead strategic customer and partner engagement with consultants, EPCs, OEMs, end users, distributors, and system integrators, including executive meetings, workshops, technical presentations, and joint go-to-market activities.

• Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to qualify opportunities, establish competitive differentiation, shape commercial and pricing strategies, and improve opportunity conversion, revenue growth, profitability, market penetration, and market share.

• Represent India market requirements with Asia Pacific and Global Business Units, provide competitive and business intelligence to leadership, and coach sales teams on drive applications, value positioning, and win strategies.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

• A proven record in business development, strategic sales, market expansion, and revenue growth.

• Strong knowledge of variable frequency drives, low-voltage and medium-voltage drives, motor control applications, and the Indian industrial automation market.

• Experience engaging senior decision-makers, negotiating contracts, developing strategic partnerships, and working across consultants, EPCs, OEMs, distributors, system integrators, and end users.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and operating effectively in a matrix organization, supported by strong commercial and analytical capability.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• 15+ years of experience in industrial automation, including 10+ years in drives, motion control, motor control, or drive systems.

• A strong technical background in automation, electrical engineering, power electronics, or industrial control systems.

• Experience with power electronics, motor control systems, drive architectures, industrial automation platforms, drive commissioning, optimization, energy-efficiency initiatives, or lifecycle services.

• Experience translating technical capabilities into customer value propositions and business outcomes for large industrial projects.

• Exposure to digitalization, connected enterprise technologies, and smart manufacturing initiatives.

• An MBA or equivalent business qualification, or certification and advanced training in drives, motion control, industrial automation, or related technologies.
