This role is for the automotive engine oil (AEO) product qualification (PQ) original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Approval Specialist in the Technical Internal Support team. The primary role is managing the U.S OEM approval process for TIS to support Oronite's automotive engine oil business.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

- Prioritize all incoming requests for business importance and impact.
- Work with TIS Engineers and others to identify and gather all needed technical information for each OEM approval. Identify missing information and work with TIS engineers to run needed bench and engine tests to meet the OEM requirements.
- Work with others or alone to complete all OEM approval documentation per each OEM's specific process. Follow through on questions and requests from the OEMs. Follow the approval request through to completion.
- Communicate progress with requesters. Work with requesters to manager customer expectations.
- Act as the SME for the U.S. OEM approval process to Oronite globally. Act as the liaison to each U.S OEM for approval issues. Familizarize gain basic knowledge to act as the back-up for the EAME OEM approval process.
- Provide work direction to contractors or others as necessary to complete OEM approvals.
- Own the U.S OEM approval process from start to finish during the product qualification phase and ensure work is completed and submitted to deliver against required timelines.

Required Qualification s:

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science field with significant college-level chemistry coursework.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry preferred with 3+ years of experience in an industrial or technical field/setting.
- Demonstrated data analytics capabilities and familiarity with digitalization/automation tools
- Experience using machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science tools to support process optimization
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, solve practical problems and to work collaboratively across business functions

- The anticipated salary range for this position is $91,500 – $180,500. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
