Job Description
Main responsibilities:
- Review and assess architectural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical proposals, and interface details to ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications.
- Coordinate and integrate partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, and other architectural elements with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, show, and ride systems to ensure seamless design execution and buildability.
- Identify drawing discrepancies, spatial clashes, and site constraints; coordinate technical clarifications and develop buildable solutions in collaboration with relevant specialists and consultants.
- Monitor all installations for dimensional accuracy, workmanship quality, accessibility compliance, and adherence to approved architectural details and specifications.
- Review material samples and mock-ups for architectural compliance, aesthetic quality, and successful integration with adjoining works and finishes.
- Support comprehensive inspections, snagging activities, corrective actions, and verification of completed works in close coordination with the quality assurance and project management teams.
- Review and validate architectural as-built drawings for accuracy and completeness; support final handover procedures and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations on complex architectural challenges, particularly within entertainment venues, immersive environments, and specialised fit-out projects.
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 12 years of professional architectural experience, with substantial involvement in design coordination, technical review, and site supervision on complex projects
- Recognised architectural qualification (RIBA Part 3 or equivalent professional registration)
- Demonstrated expertise in coordinating architectural elements with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, and specialist systems on large-scale projects
- Proven experience in entertainment venues, immersive environments, or specialised fit-out projects
- Advanced proficiency in architectural drawing and detailing, including shop drawings, technical specifications, and as-built documentation
- Strong track record in quality assurance, snagging coordination, and defect rectification on completed works
- Extensive experience in material selection, mock-up review, and aesthetic quality assessment
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve spatial clashes, drawing discrepancies, and site constraints through collaborative problem-solving
- Proficiency with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and relevant architectural software platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and consultant teams
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience on award-winning or high-profile entertainment or experiential design projects
- Knowledge of accessibility compliance standards and building regulations relevant to specialised venues
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and quality assurance protocols
- Experience mentoring junior architectural staff and providing technical guidance on complex challenges
