NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.

DOF's Administration and Planning Division is responsible for managing and overseeing administrative and operational services for the agency. This includes the daily management of the Offices of Financial Management, Purchasing and Contracts, Operational Services, and Diversity and Inclusion.

The Office of Operational Services coordinates and directs all facilities-related operational support services for both public and privately leased properties agency-wide, including space planning, telecommunications, security, fire safety, health and safety, and fleet and transportation operations. The division also includes the agency warehouse, print shop, and mailroom operations.

The Warehouse and Customer Delivery Services unit manages the agency's centralized warehouse operations, print shop, inventory control and distribution of equipment and supplies across multiple locations. The unit is seeking an experienced and highly organized professional to serve as the Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

Reporting to the Director of Warehouse & Customer Delivery Services, the selected candidate's duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Delegate work assignments to the staff and assure completion of the task on or before the required scheduled due date. Oversee the preparation of goods for shipment to Agency Divisions to ensure delivery on time.
- Organizes warehouse inventory in a manner ensuring all supplies and materials are in their designated area.
- Ensure all incoming goods are not damaged or defective, and assured quantities are verified against receipt documents.
- Coordinate with DOF contractors and business units to ensure monthly deliveries are on schedule.
- Assist in the distribution of Parking Summonses to all authorized agencies (Parking Summonses, Moving Summonses and Criminal Court Summonses).
- Enter Passport requisitions into the system for warehouse and agency needs.
- Supervise tracking, filing and retrieval of agency records requests from divisions.
- Actively participate in and become subject matter experts on the new city-wide ERMS system being implemented by DORIS.
- Serve as Salvage Officer for Warehouse operations.
- Perform duties of the Deputy Director when out of office.
- Assist with organizing print requests, maintaining production supplies, and supporting daily print shop operations.

This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed between the City and the Collective Bargaining Unit representing employees serving in the civil service title.

Qualifications

1. Six years of full-time progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or administrative capacity requiring independent decision-making concerning management or planning, allocation of resources and the scheduling and assignment of work; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. Education may be substituted for the general administrative experience (but not for the 18 months of managerial experience described above) at the rate of 1 year of college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 4 years of college for 2 years of experience.
