About this role

We are looking for Manual Machine Operators to set up, maintain and operate machinery. Youll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have the willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Immediate need is on first shift Monday-Friday 6am-3:30 pm (which includes 5 hours of mandatory OT as needed).

Secondary need is on second shift Monday-Friday 3:30pm-2am (which includes 10 hours of mandatory OT as needed).

Pay commensurate with experience between $18.50-19.50 per hour. Weekly pay!!

Responsibilities:

- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.

- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)

- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines

- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.

- Test operation of machines periodically

- Correct issues that may occur during the shift.

- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.

- Meet daily production goals.

- Maintain a clean and safe workstation.

Qualifications

- Experience as a machine operator, including saw machines (preferred)

- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

- Understanding of production procedures

- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)

- Analytical math skills.

- Attention to details.

- Teamwork and communication skills.

- Physical stamina to perform the job. Including lifting, pushing, pulling consistently 20-70 lbs

- Ability to work without minimal supervision.

- Ability to assist with or work with other machinery as production needs change.

- Ability to cross train as production needs dictate.
