About this role

## Position Summary
Develop and oversee the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies' teaching laboratory facility, equipment and laboratory. Plan and execute special events and programs; oversee budgets and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Food Studies or related field
Required Experience: 3+ years professional experience with food/food handling or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience supervising staff and operations, planning and implementing activities and events, and overseeing budgets.
Preferred Experience: Experience with commercial kitchen management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills. Ability to develop, implement and communicate policies and procedures. Ability to instruct kitchen/food health courses. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: ServSafe certification or applicable New York City food safety/food protection certification.

## Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,000.00 to USD $81,820.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
