About this role

As a Mandiant Strategic Security Consultant, you will lead and support projects on behalf of clients that assess, test, or build their security programs. Clients will range from start-up companies looking to supplement their security team to companies that need fresh ideas to enhance their perspective on the security program. You will provide guidance and advice to your client on best practices and managing the risks for their security program.Part of Google Cloud, Mandiant is a recognized leader in dynamic cyber defense, threat intelligence and incident response services. US: $138000 - $200000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- 5 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.

- 5 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.

- Experience working in client-facing cybersecurity consulting environments.

- Ability to travel up to 30%.

Preferred qualifications:

- Certifications related to specific cloud platforms.

- Experience implementing industry-leading practices to mitigate cybersecurity risks in domains such as cloud security, network security, identity and access management, and cyber defense.

- Experience with cloud security architecture, cloud governance, and translating governance principles into cloud security policies.

- Experience in advisory or consulting roles within professional services or major cybersecurity consulting firms.

- Experience in incident response, pen testing, threat modeling, or artificial intelligence security.

- Lead strategic security consulting engagements, security program maturity assessments, and gap analyses against industry frameworks to deliver risk-reduction roadmaps.

- Guide clients on transforming cyber defense capabilities and managing risks across cloud and on-premises environments during digital transformation.

- Evaluate client requirements, scope consulting engagement effort and costs, and coordinate solution designs to produce statements of work and proposals.

- Design and facilitate executive tabletop exercises and security workshops to evaluate incident response readiness and programmatic controls.

- Contribute to the development, refinement, and maintenance of strategic consulting service offerings, methodologies, and reusable practice assets.
