Job Description:

UPS Global Public Affairs | Washington, D.C. | One-Year Fellowship

UPS is seeking an International Affairs Fellow to join its Global Public Affairs team in Washington, D.C.

This one-year fellowship offers high-performing undergraduate students, and recent bachelor’s degree graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international trade, public policy, government affairs, and global business strategy.

As a member of UPS's advocacy team, the Fellow will research policy issues affecting global commerce, support engagement with government and industry stakeholders, and help advance UPS's public policy priorities around the world.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research and analysis on international trade, supply chains, sustainability, customs, tax, and regulatory issues.
- Draft policy briefs, presentations, talking points, and executive summaries.
- Monitor global political, economic, and policy developments.
- Attend hearings, policy forums, stakeholder meetings, and industry events.
- Prepare written summaries and briefing materials for leadership.
- Support stakeholder mapping and government relations outreach efforts.
- Assist with public affairs communications and policy-related content.
- Assist with event logistics, office organization, workspace readiness, and other administrative duties that support the Public Affairs team's effectiveness and business objectives.

Qualifications

- Qualified candidates will be in their final year of undergraduate study or have recently earned a bachelor's degree in the last 2 years in international relations, International Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Interest in international affairs, trade policy, government relations, or corporate public policy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

For Non-Union Intern/Co-Op Positions:

- Pay Range Estimate: $16.00 - $33.44 per hour
- Note: Actual Compensation offered to candidate may vary within range based upon geographic location and education.  The pay rate will be finalized at the offer stage.
