The Distribution Technology Manager will be responsible for leading system related projects and initiatives within the NA Deliver Network and act as the product owner for the MARC WMS application at the Memphis Logistics Center.

This individual will be responsible for leading Distribution Technology and/or Distribution team-based projects while supporting deployments of WMS, YMS, WCS, TMS and other affiliated distribution systems. The Distribution Technology Manager will be responsible for managing internal employees and external contractors, while driving accountability with all project team members within their scope of responsibility.

This individual will support and drive business case development, concept / feasibility assessments, project planning, system and process design, key milestone tracking, user acceptance testing, enabling change management for impacted workstreams, and updates to leadership on project status. This individual will oversee the WMS processes and system by driving accountability and process adherence while designing and implementing enhancements and break-fixes. He will also drive adoption through sound requirements, design and implementation to external business partners while also driving training and ownership within that business unit.

The Distribution Technology Manager will also be expected to perform benchmarking, industry research, and make recommendations for future distribution projects to drive the strategic needs of the business and will oversee the super user community for the facility fostering and encouraging a culture of inclusiveness and diversity.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Lead Deliver Workstream on key distribution projects.
- Develop project team structure and resourcing requirements.
- Establish team member roles & responsibilities.
- Drive the application of and adherence to appropriate project management methodologies.
- Ownership of user stories, requirements, user acceptance testing and training.
- Responsible for leading other Distribution Technology and/or Distribution team-based projects while supporting cross-sector deployments of WMS, TMS and similar systems.
- Responsible for managing/coordinating with internal employees and external contractors and driving accountability with all project team members, within their scope of responsibility.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to drive cost efficiencies and technological improvements within the distribution network.
- Benchmark and evaluate distribution processes and technology solutions and improvements.
- Perform other assignments and projects assigned by manager.

Qualifications

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, IT, or a related field is required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong analytical and data management skills with experience developing reporting and troubleshooting documentation.  A track record of process improvements, cost reductions and/or customer service success; results oriented.
- Experience with the MARC WMS platform preferred

- The ability to communicate and interact effectively across internal departments.
- The ability to influence at various organizational levels.
- Comfortable working in an ever-changing matrix environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Operations knowledge of warehouse management systems (i.e. MARC, BY), SAP, transportation systems, WCS systems (Exacta, MDCS) or other extending systems (StepLogic) within the Medical Devices business.

The role has a primary location in the J&J Distribution Center located in Memphis, TN.
