Position purpose

As a Spa Receptionist Supervisor, you will be one of the first and most important points of contact for our Spa guests.

Your role is to create a sense of calm, warmth and genuine connection from the very first interaction. With an intuitive understanding of luxury hospitality, you will anticipate the needs of our guests, personalize their experience and ensure that every detail is handled with care and discretion.

Beyond the reception desk, you will be a trusted presence within the Spa team, supporting the Spa Manager and colleagues in delivering a seamless, effortless and deeply personal experience.

You will embody the philosophy that true luxury is not about formality, but about knowing what a guest needs before they have to ask.

Key responsibilities

- Welcome each guest with genuine warmth, presence and understated elegance.
- Take the time to understand each guest's preferences, expectations and individual needs.
- Anticipate requests and respond proactively, ensuring that guests feel recognized and genuinely cared for.
- Develop meaningful relationships with returning guests and maintain a strong awareness of their preferences.
- Ensure that every interaction reflects the highest standards of Aman hospitality.
- Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality when interacting with VIPs and high-profile guests.
- Manage the Spa reception with confidence, elegance and attention to detail.
- Coordinate treatment reservations, changes, cancellations and waiting lists.
- Ensure seamless communication between reception, therapists and the wider Spa team.
- Maintain an accurate awareness of the day's appointments, guest preferences, special occasions and operational priorities.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of all treatments, wellness experiences, facilities and products available within the Spa.
- Ensure the Spa reception and surrounding areas are always immaculate and presented in accordance with Aman standards.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless experience for every guest.
- Contribute to Spa revenue through appropriate upselling and cross-selling while always protecting the integrity of the guest experience.
- Support the Spa Manager in the daily supervision and coordination of the Spa Reception team.
- Lead by example and maintain consistently high standards of guest service and professional conduct.
- Coordinate daily assignments, priorities and shift responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct or support daily briefings and communicate relevant guest, operational and departmental information to the team.
- Coach and guide Reception colleagues in guest service, Spa procedures, treatment knowledge and service standards.
- Monitor service standards and provide constructive feedback to team members where appropriate.

Experience & skills

- Previous experience in a luxury hotel Spa, wellness environment or comparable high-end hospitality setting.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in Spa Reception or a similar guest-facing position.
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is preferred.
- Excellent command of English and Italian; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Spa treatments, wellness experiences and luxury guest expectations.
- Experience with Spa booking systems and hotel systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Genuine interest in wellness, hospitality and the luxury guest experience
