Position Overview
SCDIT is seeking a dependable and organized Supply Chain Specialist to support our procurement, warehouse, and project operations. This position plays an important role in making sure materials and equipment are properly reviewed, ordered, received, staged, and ready to support our project teams.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates well, and is comfortable working with Project Managers, technicians, vendors, and the warehouse team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Order Requests (PORs)
- Review Purchase Order Requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify supporting vendor quotes, pricing, quantities, and project information.
- Identify missing or incorrect information before orders are processed.
- Assist with maintaining an organized and timely purchasing process.
Supply Chain Quotes
- Request and obtain pricing from approved vendors and distributors.
- Prepare and organize supply chain quotes for projects.
- Compare vendor pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, shipping, and order status.
- Work with Project Managers and internal teams to make sure material requirements are understood.
Warehouse Staging & Receiving
- Assist with warehouse staging and receiving when needed, including coverage when the primary warehouse team member is unavailable.
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase documentation and project requirements.
- Check quantities and identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
- Stage project materials accurately for upcoming jobs.
- Help maintain an organized warehouse and staging area.
Project & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, technicians, vendors, and the warehouse team regarding material requirements.
- Help track outstanding orders, backorders, lead times, and deliveries.
- Communicate material availability and potential delays to the appropriate team members.
- Support the movement of materials from purchasing through receiving and project staging.
Quality & Process Compliance
- Follow established SCDIT Supply Chain procedures and ISO 9001 processes.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and receiving documentation.
- Help ensure required documentation is completed and stored appropriately.
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing, receiving, staging, and inventory processes.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating directly with vendors and internal project teams.
- Basic understanding of purchasing, procurement, warehouse, inventory, or logistics processes preferred.
- Experience working with purchase orders and vendor quotes preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates when there is an issue, and understands that successful projects depend on having the right materials in the right place at the right time.
This position requires someone who can balance office-based purchasing and coordination responsibilities with hands-on warehouse support when needed.
Other duties may be assigned as business and project needs require.
Salary: $40-45k
