Your Role:
The Manufacturing Technician 4 at Cleveland, Ohio site is responsible for receiving raw materials, producing batches according to approved procedures, and completing all designated manufacturing activities under strict regulatory and quality controls. As the department's highest-skilled operator, this individual possesses expertise across all core job disciplines, including tumbler, centrifuge, and reactor operations—and can seamlessly handle complex, specialized tasks such as reprocess work and trial batch manufacturing. In addition to maintaining full operational flexibility across all manufacturing situations, the Level 4 Technician serves as a subject matter expert who trains and mentors fellow operators in their area of expertise. Job duties include:
- Shift hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 – 2:30pm
- Safely unload, inspect, verify, and transport raw materials and inventory throughout the plant using powered industrial trucks and handling equipment.
- Expertly operate reactors, centrifuges, tumbler dryers, distillation equipment, and solvent pumps to manufacture chemical products according to exact formulations.
- Produce products meeting strict purity, quality, and SOP requirements, including precise manual portioning and sampling for QC testing.
- Maintain a proactive safety culture by adhering to SDS guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE, identifying hazards, performing safety inspections, and supporting root-cause investigations.
- Safely handle, destroy, package, label, and dispose of hazardous/non-hazardous chemical waste and by-products, actively striving to minimize waste generation.
- Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and forms following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and ALCOA principles.
- Perform basic analytical testing (e.g., pH measurements) and conduct routine material, product, and equipment inspections.
- Read and interpret SOPs and batch instructions, perform basic SAP transactions, and generate approved system labels.
- Ensure continuous daily housekeeping, clean and label intermediate containers, and manage inventory for cleaning supplies, PPE, and utensils.
- Participate in company training, collaborate positively with peers and management, seek guidance during process upsets, and complete other assigned operational duties.
Physical Attributes:
- Walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and lifting while wearing appropriate PPE—up to and including a fully encapsulated suit—in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Lift 50 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds using lift assist equipment.
- Wear respiratory protection, airline respirator or air purifying respirator, for extended periods of time, in both summer heat and winter cold.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School education or GED
- 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Technician or chemical manufacturing role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO9001/14001/45001 Management Systems
- Demonstrates professional, dependable, and self-directed behavior while performing all responsibilities safely and timely
- Experience with PPE requirements, OSHA standards and administrative housekeeping policies
- Delivers high-quality products by demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, and pride in adhering to established procedures and standards
RSREMD
Pay Range for this position: $28.00 - $43.00
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
