Project Coordinator Intern
Critical Systems, LLC is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator Intern to support our project management and engineering teams. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in the coordination of HVAC engineering projects, with exposure to project schedules, documentation, and project communication.
The ideal candidate is a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related student who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in learning how complex construction and engineering projects are managed from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Project Coordinators with day-to-day project coordination and administrative activities.
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including, specifications, submittals, change orders, and correspondence.
- Assist with project schedules, deadlines, and tracking of outstanding items.
- Help coordinate information between project managers, sales engineers, and clients.
- Assist with preparing schedules, logs, and other project documentation.
- Track equipment, materials, and submittals.
- Participate in project meetings and help track action items and follow-ups.
- Use Excel and other project management tools (Monday) to maintain accurate project information.
- Perform other project coordination and administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in HVAC, engineering, project management, or the building systems industry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, and project-related data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a project team.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced project environment.
What You Will Gain
This internship will provide hands-on exposure to the construction and engineering project lifecycle, including project planning, coordination, procurement, documentation, scheduling, and closeout.
The intern will work alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers, and other professionals and gain practical knowledge of how complex projects are coordinated across multiple teams, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
