About this role

AWC is hiring a 2nd Shift Quality Supervisor for our Baltimore Fairfield location in the Curtis Bay area of Baltimore MD. This is a salaried position with a range of $60,000 to 62,000 per year that is paid weekly plus yearly Bonus eligible. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market considerations.

Purpose

The Quality Supervisor collaborates with AWC management, associates, and customers to ensure facility operations meet manufacturer and customer standards. This role establishes and maintains quality standards throughout the vehicle manufacturing process.

Essential Duties

- Manage and improve quality processes throughout manufacturing.

Design processes and control plans that identify, contain, and prevent defects. Conduct quality audits and track the results.

- Communicate quality data to management and customers.

Use established quality metrics to create data-driven production reports. Lead daily meetings, update customers and AWC management, and prepare monthly quality reports, process flowcharts, and Direct Run First Time Capability (DRFTC) reports.

- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.

Coordinate with supplier and customer quality personnel to address issues and corrective actions. Conduct daily product audits and provide quality feedback to suppliers. Maintain systems for identifying products that do not meet AWC quality standards and ensure their proper disposal. Communicate overall product quality each day.

- Equip staff and associates to recognize and address quality issues.

Coach direct reports on quality standards and procedures. Train hourly associates on quality requirements, explain their importance, and expand their product knowledge.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

- Minimum of 1-year experience in quality field

- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, process capability and related statistical analysis methods.

- Ability to analyze, adjust, interpret, report, and apply all data gathered on specific product attributes.

- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

- Ability to create presentations to communicate information in a clear and efficient manner.

- Ability to communicate deficiencies to appropriate personnel in a diplomatic and assertive manner.

- Ability to adhere to strict operational standards without variance.

- Ability to keep information confidential and elevate concerns when appropriate.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Microsoft Office).

- Excellent presentation skills.

- Knowledge of quality processes and control procedures.

Preferred Requirements:

Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, process capability, and related statistical analysis methods.
