Dover Precision Components is hiring a Regional Sales Manager for our Bearings Plus brand. Bearings Plus , the aftermarket arm of Waukesha Bearings, is an industry leader in the repair, replacement and upgrade of fluid film bearings and seals. WHAT YOU’LL DO
This position is based out of our Pearland/South Houston office and primarily responsible for managing and developing customer accounts for the Greater Houston area. The position acts as the primary contact for customers for fluid film bearing repairs, seal repairs, and make-new services and the ISFD and engineering services of our portfolio. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate and develop new relationships with aftermarket repair shops, distributors, and end users, with heavy emphasis on in-person meetings.
- Work together with the engineering and inside sales teams to generate quotes for customers.
- Receive customer P.O.s and work together with the inside sales team to formalize them in the ERP.
- Act as a liaison between customer and BPI operations and update customers on project progress.
- Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Maintain a strong, visible sales pipeline with appropriate tollgate points for soliciting, screening, product proposal, pricing and follow up.
- Prepare and present weekly call reports explaining, in detail, the contacts made that week using online reporting program.
- Conduct training and educational programs with customers, distributors and representatives.
- Design and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase sales volume.
- Troubleshoot customer issues along with recommendations for solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering. In lieu of a degree, related technical sales experience may be considered.
- 3+ years’ experience in outside industrial sales in related industry such as fluid film bearings and rotating equipment in oil and gas.
- Project management experience in related field.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment repairs, repair services, or related.
- Ability to visit customer facilities 4 days a week, primarily in Houston marketplace. Currently, limited overnight travel. Must reside in the territory represented (Houston) with valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret sales drawings.

- Demonstrated sales success, building relationships and growing a territory within related industries.
- Strong negotiation and analytical acumen.
- Fluid film bearings understanding and/or experience.
- Working background or knowledge in engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Familiar with machine shop operations and Babbitt materials.
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
- Possesses great communication and closing skills are vital.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office.
- Highly creative and a problem solver with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures.
